Bentech Freedom panels can slide around corners and follow curved, circular balconies. The weight is carried by the lower track, reducing loads on bonded joints and fittings.
Easy to clean
Fold the panels in over the balcony floor to clean both sides from inside the balcony, without leaning over the railing.
Toughened safety glass
Glass thickness is typically 6–10 mm, selected for local wind loads and the permitted panel deflection. All glass has ground or polished edges.
Weather protection
The nominal gap between panels is just 1 mm, helping to limit rain and snow penetration. Clear push-fit strips can provide additional sealing between glass edges.
Robust opening mechanism
The opening mechanism is central to reliable daily use. Freedom uses a robust design developed by Bentech. The frameless system can also be supplied as a door system up to 2,700 mm high; these applications require 8 or 10 mm toughened glass.

Low maintenance
No routine oiling or lubrication is needed. The bottom-running design reduces the need for subsequent panel adjustment compared with suspended systems.
Secure support from below
The panels run on the lower track, giving the glass stable support and reducing the risk associated with handling suspended panels.
Efficient manufacturing
The system is designed for straightforward manufacturing with few machines. No holes are required in the glass or glass profiles, and no safety rivets or pins are needed to secure the glass to the glazing bead. An integrated curtain track and child safety lock are available as options.
Straightforward installation
- Upper and lower U-profiles accommodate slopes and construction tolerances. Adjustable panel wheels help achieve consistent vertical gaps.
- The design can accommodate a degree of deflection in the balcony slab above, subject to project assessment.
